High School Counselors/Liaisons
The High School Liaison
In order to ensure that our high school programs run smoothly, the Pathfinder Office requests that one staff member at each high school be designated as the high school’s liaison with the Pathfinder Office.
The high school liaison:
- is often a counselor or teacher but can be any staff member that the high school administration designates.
- helps teachers, students, parents and administrators with RCC Pathfinder programs.
- provides a consistent message.
- communicates questions directly to the Pathfinder Office.
High school liaisons can help students see how the various Rogue Community College Pathfinder programs, including COLLEGE NOW offerings, will help fit into an overall academic plan by reviewing the following:
CN courses at your high school: Lists the current COLLEGE NOW offerings and RCC plan completion flyers for each high school. (link) (flyers will be added soon)
Early College. Students are encouraged to pair the COLLEGE NOW offerings at their high school with traditional RCC courses (offered at a discount if billed/approved by the high school) to complete an RCC certificate or plan.
High School Entry Points. Details the Oregon Transfer Module and the recommended RCC certificates for high school students.
Additionally, liaisons should be knowledgeable about:
High school Liaisons at Butte Falls, Crater, Eagle Point, and Rogue River High Schools should also become familiar with the John and Lilian Morris Scholarship.
