An introduction to the multifaceted discipline of making comics and graphic novels.  This class will instruct the student, through a series of in-class and take home projects, in the beginning concepts and techniques in telling a story visually within the comic book and sequential art format.

Also covers beginning drawing techniques in 1 and 2 point perspective, figurative drawing and character design.

This is an ideal experience for anyone who has ever dreamed of being able to create their own worlds and tell their own stories in the mediums of comics, web comics and graphic novels.

A series of in-class projects will culminate in a final two-week sequential art project. Instructor will also discuss inking, character deign, digital coloring, lettering and cover illustration.
