Classes ranging from rain harvesting to forest equipment are in the lineup for 2015. A new partner group also brings some different classes. Welcome to the Living on The Land organization.

From Max Bennett, OSU Extention, Forestry/Natural Resources Agent:

“We’re featuring 23 classes this year, including several perennial favorites and some new offerings, all taught by experienced resource management professionals. We have classes on rain harvesting at your home, caring for woods on small acreage, raising chickens, and dealing with insect and disease problems that affect trees.  Other classes include attracting wildlife, beginning bird watching, and getting rid of star thistle. It’s a fun atmosphere. You’re guaranteed to pick up some practical tips and come home with something you can use on your own property.”

  • Registration is $40.
  • Buy lunch on-site for an extra $10.
  • Late or walk-in registration is not available.
