Biography

Dr. Henriques has over 25 years of broad-based and hands-on experience in diverse industries. These industries have included law enforcement, delivery transportation and higher education.

In December 2010, Dr. Henriques completed her Ph.D. in Public Safety with a specialization in Criminal Justice from Capella University. Her dissertation research was entitled Perceptions of School Violence: School Personnel Views of Violent Behavior and Preparedness.

Dr. Henriques is a skilled educator, with a positive reputation of providing effective education to diverse levels of individuals.

Biography

Christine’s passion is building relationships and helping people achieve success. Christine is the Director of Educational Partnerships and also is an adjunct instructor for the Criminal Justice department.Christine has worked for the college for over five years and held the position of Health Professions Education Coordinator/American Heart Association Training Center Coordinator in the RCC Allied Health Department where she began as the Academic Advisor/Navigation Coach. Christine is currently finishing her Master’s degree in Higher Education with specialization in Adult Education from Capella University. Christine has worked for Rogue Workforce serving as; Employment Specialist; Disability Program Navigator; and Program Coordinator for contracted services to the Department of Human Services and where she also taught regular weekly workshops.

Instructor Renfro, Richard

Biography

Richard is the Coordinator for the Reserve Officer Law Enforcement Academy at Rogue Community College. In addition to ROLEA, Richard has been a full-time Police Patrol Officer with the City of Medford since 1995. Prior to civilian law enforcement, Richard was a Law Enforcement Specialist in the USAF. While serving in the Oregon Air National Guard, Richard was a Reserve Deputy with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, and completed two Associates degrees at Mt Hood Community College prior to graduating with a Bachelors degree in Criminology from Southern Oregon University.

Originally from Portland, Richard’s grandfather was born in Sams Valley in 1915. With much of his family still residing in Southern Oregon, he returned to the Central Point area after being hired with the City of Medford. During his employment with the City of Medford, Richard has served as a Police Patrol Officer, School Resource Officer, Firearms Instructor, and initiated numerous Problem Oriented Police Programs. Among Richard’s awards are the Police Achievement Award, Life Saving Award, Red Cross Life Saving Award, Southern Oregon Drug Awareness Meritorious Law Enforcement Officer Award, and Oregon Liquor Control Commission Award of Excellence. Richard also currently serves in the Oregon Air National Guard as a Paralegal with the Judge Advocate General Corp at Kingsley Field, Klamath Falls.

Richard recently completed his Maters of Arts in Criminal Justice at Arizona State University, and hopes to expand his teaching opportunities in the Criminal Justice program at Rogue Community College.
