Covers basic information needed to interpret electrocardiograms including anatomy, physiology, and electrophysiology of the heart and how these relate to the ECG. Students will learn basic interpretation of sinus rhythms and ventricular rhythms. The course is designed for those in the medical profession without cardiac arrest experience, such as dentists, respiratory therapists, or nurses not working in an acute care setting or for those individuals who desire to work in a medical occupation that doesn't require a comprehensive understanding of ECG's. This course also provides a basic understanding of ECG for an ACLS or PALS Provider course.
