Phlebotomy Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Phlebotomy students will learn to work in hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities drawing blood from patients in preparation for medical testing.
  2. They will learn to be attentive to detail, work well under pressure, have excellent manual dexterity, have excellent communication skills, and enjoy working with people.
  3. In one term, students can earn their Phlebotomy Technician certificate, which will enable them to take the  ASCP Phlebotomy exam and earn their certification to work in the medical field as a phlebotomist.
