OILD imageJune 25 to 28, 2018
The Oregon American Association for Women in Community Colleges (Oregon-AAWCC) Chapter's annual Oregon Institute of Leadership Development (OILD) conference focuses on training in leadership, personal, and professional growth. OILD connects individuals at all levels from the 17 community colleges from across the state and focuses on developing skills specific to Oregon’s education environment. Participants will take part in a variety of approaches to comprehensive leadership training.

This 4-day training opportunity OILD is held at the Silver Falls Conference Center in Sublimity, Oregon.

This is an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth that RCC enthusiastically supports and is open to RCC women employees who have not been before. If you are interested in attending, seek your supervisors' approval.

You may nominate yourself this year.
This reflects a change in process from last year and was suggested by the AAWCC leadership here at RCC.

Your professional growth funds may be used for this activity. If professional growth funds are not available, there is a possibility of college support.

The individual(s) selected to participate in OILD will be evaluated on the following criteria and feedback from his/her supervisor:

  • Education and Experience: A minimum of three years’ experience at a community college and an associate’s degree or equivalent.
  • Leadership Potential: An interest in progressing to any leadership role in community colleges.

To apply, contact the AAWCC President, Pam Green, to learn more about the selection process before the end of business on Tuesday, April 10, 2018.

Nominations will be reviewed by a committee of AAWCC representatives and college administrators. When the selection process is complete, RCC's president will make the final announcement.

Thanks for your participation in the nomination process.
