ABE/GED®
Adult Basic Education and
General Educational Development (GED®)
RCC offers Adult Basic Education (ABE) and GED® preparation classes to anyone who does not have a high school diploma or needs to review basic skills and is at least 16 years old. If you are 16 or 17, you must obtain a homeschool notification from Southern Oregon Education Service District (SOESD) to begin classes at Rogue. Please contact one of our learning centers below for more information. The GED® program allows you to earn a high school equivalency certificate by passing the following four tests:
- Reasoning Through Language Arts
- Social Studies
- Science
- Mathematics
How to enroll in ABE/GED® classes
RCC’s GED® programs cost only $65 a term and are offered at our learning center locations. Prior to attending our program, new students must attend an orientation and take assessments for placement purposes. To sign up for the next available orientation, please contact the learning center in your county:

Although most students enrolled in the program are preparing for the GED® exams, many are enrolled to enhance academic and pre-employment skills. For more information about our program, please use the links to the left on this page or contact any of the learning centers listed above.
Cap & gown graduation is held in June. Follow this link for more information about our next graduation event.
