Free Shakespeare Showcase

Acting students at Rogue Community College will give three performances of their winter term showcase “Shakespeare!” next week.

The Fundamentals of Acting class has been studying how to interpret Shakespearean dialogue. The students will perform selected scenes and monologues from “Hamlet,” “Romeo and Juliet,” “Macbeth” and Much Ado about Nothing.”

Admission is free and open to the public. Performances will be at 12:30 p.m. March 12 and 14, and at 3 p.m. March 16. The show will be in Rogue Performance Hall, RCC’s black box theater in the Riverside Campus C Building, 130 E. Eighth St. in downtown Medford.

Free Comedy Showcase

The Improvisational Theater class at Rogue Community College invites the public to its free comedy showcases to cap the end of winter term.

Working completely without a script, the courageous team of players will perform improv games, stories and songs inspired by suggestions from the audience. The shows are fun for the whole family and have become a wonderful tradition at RCC.

Performances will be at 3 p.m. March 12 and 14 and at 1:30 p.m. March 16. The show will be in Rogue Performance Hall, RCC’s black box theater in the Riverside Campus C Building, 130 E. Eighth St. in downtown Medford. Admission is free and open to the public.

Free Fundamentals of Acting Showcase

The public is invited to a free theater showcase featuring students in the Fundamentals of Acting class at Rogue Community College performing selected scenes and monologues from 21st century plays. "What is on Our Minds" includes politics, cell phones, crime, social media, love and laughter.

Performances will be from 3-4:30 p.m. March 14 and 19 in the Rogue Auditorium on the RCC Redwood Campus, 3345 Redwood Highway in Grants Pass.
